Jammu,May 03: Today on 03.05.2024 Police Station Domana,Jammu made recovery in a theft case FIR No. 56/2024 U/s 379 IPC by recovering the stolen property.

On 15-03-2024,a complaint was registered at Police Station Domana about the theft of Scooty bearing registration number JK02-CK-1275 from Dayal House, Muthi Jammu under the Jurisdiction of PS Domana.

Taking cognizance of the matter, a special team led by PSI Younis Khanday under the guidance of SHO PS Domana was formulated to solve the case and nab the culprits. During the investigation several suspects were rounded up by the police and lastly one suspect namely Rohit Singh S/o Padam Singh R/o Gurha Salathia, Rakh Bharotian Vijaypur Samba on questioning confessed his involvement in the crime. On the confession of the said accused person, the stolen scooty has been recovered by the police.

The investigation is still going on and further arrests and recovery is likely to be made. The accused namely Rohit Singh @Shallu is habitual thief and has been previously involved in multiple theft/snatching cases in Jammu/Samba District.
