January 15: In order to bridge the gap between police and public, Handwara police organized a PCPG meeting at Police Station Villgam. The meeting was chaired by SHO Police Station Villigam Shri Mohammad Suliaman.

The meeting was attended by respectable citizens of the area including market president of Villigam, numberdar of Vilgam, sarpanch of Champora, numberdar of Cheerkot, ward member Kokroosa and Gen secretary of Market Vilgam.

The participants raised various issues including shortage of drinking water and snow clearance on some link roads. The chairing officer assured the participants that their issues pertaining to police will be shortly redressed while other issues pertaining to civil administration will be taken up the concerned departments for their early redressal.
