JAMMU, FEBRUARY 12: Director General of Police, Shri Dilbag Singh today granted scholarship of in favour of ten wards of martyred police personnel, who laid down their lives in militancy related incidents in the state.

Rupees twelve thousand have been sanctioned for a ward who is pursuing engineering and rupees ten thousand each have been sanctioned for seven wards studying in graduation level courses. Similarly rupees twenty-four hundred each have been sanctioned for two wards of a martyred police personnel studying in class 2nd and 4th primary.

The amount has been sanctioned out of Central Police Education Fund for the academic year 2017-2018. The scholarships are granted every year for the school going children of police martyrs to provide them assistance in pursuing education.
