In its continued drive, launched against drug peddlers*, today on 13-02-2019 during patrolling at bustand Ransoo, during the checking at about 1000 hrs, one person was coming from bustand Ransoo, and carrying a bag in his hand, in the meanwhile when he saw the police party doing checking, he tried to conceal his presence and made a bid to escape from there. On seeing this, the police party led by *ASI Mohd. hussain and SgCt Parshotam Lal and HC Arun kumar and SPO Jagjot Singh* made strenuous efforts and caught the said person, who upon enquiry, disclosed his name as *Rattan Lal S/o Surmu R/o Pora Jagir Teh. Pouni, Distt. Reasi* and during the search of his bag, *800 gm of Poppy Straw (BHUKKI), was recovered from his possession*. The intoxicant substance were sealed on the spot and a docket was sent to Police Station Ransoo for investigating the matter.
The above said person committed an offence U/S 8/15 NDPS Act. In this regard, *a case FIR No. 3/2019 U/S 8/15/ NDPS Act* stands registered in Police Station Ransoo and investigation has been set into motion. *The operation was carried out by SI Jasvinder Choudhary, SHO PS Ransoo, under the direct supervision of Dr Nikhil Gogna DySP Hqrs Reasi, and under the overall supervision of SSP Reasi Ms Nisha Nathyal.*
