Srinagar,March 14: Continuing its drive against the drug menace, a police party from police station Panthachowk arrested a drug peddler namely Riyaz Ahmad Dar S/O Wali Muhammad Dar R/O Khelan Naina Sangam and recovered one Kg contraband substance from his possession.

Acting on a specific information a naka was established by police party led by SHO Police Station Panthachowk Muhammad Ayoub Rather,during naka checking noticed that one person was found moving around suspiciously and during checking Charas was recovered from his possession.

The accused was arrested on the spot and contraband seized.

In this regard case FIR No.  11/2019 U/S 8/20 NDPS Act was registered in Police Station Panthachowk and investigation has been initiated.

General public has applauded this police action.
