March 14: A plantation drive was started at Armed Police Headquarters Manasbal. The drive was launched by commandant of IRP 8th Bn Shri Maqsood ul Zaman.

The aim behind this initiative is to promote greenery in our neighborhoods as a part of larger sustainable ecological development. The preservation of our ecology assumes importance so as to stabilize our ecosystem in order to preserve the ecological diversity within it.

Promoting greenery will help us to offset emissions which upset our ecological balance. In this drive nearly 200 saplings of different varieties were planted within the campus of APC Manasbal.

Senior officers of the battalion also participated in the plantation drive.
