April 05: A police party from Police Station Beerwah was deputed to execute a non-bailable warrant issued by the Hon’ble court U/S 512 CrPC against one accused person Tariq Malik son of Ali Mohammad Malik resident of Waragam, Budgam.

When the police party arrived in the village, a mob comprising of males and females attacked the police party. One constable was also held hostage by the mob and was later retrieved from the village with the efforts of police.

Police has registered a case under relevant sections of law and initiated investigation.
