Bandipora,09 April.To review the latest status of preparedness for forthcoming General Elections in the district and take final call on security arrangements being made for peaceful completion of General Elections.A high- level security review meeting was held in DPL Bandipora.

The meeting was chaired by IG Crpf,Sh Zulfiquar Hassan -IPS .SSP Bandipora, Sh Rahul Malik -IPS, DIG Crpf ,top officers of Police, Paramilitary apart from field commanders attended the meeting.

To strengthen synergy among all security agencies & build strong co-ordination between them during forthcoming General Elections, besides ensuring full proof security measures are in place around the polling stations were issues discussed during the meeting.

IG -CRPF, in his address emphasised on the field officers and jawans to maintain co-ordination with other forces& be in a state of rediness to face any eventuality and maintain communication with their higher ups in case of any emergency and keep strict vigil on anti social elements who try to disturb law & order.

SSP Bandipora, gave a detailed briefing about security arrangements put in place by District Police Bandipora for smooth and peaceful conduct of General Elections.He emphasised on the officers of Police & Paramilitary to apprise their field commanders & Jawans to remain impartial and humane towards general public during elections and do not allow any anti social element to disturb peace and tranquility in the district.
