Gool,April 13:Carrying forward its drive to make a drug free society, Ramban Police today achieved a major success by arresting two notorious drug suppliers and recovering *600 grams Charas* from their possession at Partmulla Jabba,Gool during a naka laid by SDPO,Gool Sh.Mohd Rafi Giri-JKPS.

Giving details of the achievement, a Police spokesperson said that today's achievement is part of the already initiated war against the menace of drugs in our area whereby all the field officers have taken a pledge to uproot this evil from the society.The spokesperson further told that it was on the requests of the public of the area and on the basis of that a Police team headed by SDPO Gool laid a surprise naka on Parthmulla Jabba Gool road and started checking every passerby. In between, two persons travelling on motorcycle seeing the Police party tried to flee away. But the alert cops chased and overpowered them. On search of the two 600 grams charas got recovered from them.

In this regard case FIR No 23 of 2019 has been registered at Police Station Gool U/S 8/20 NDPS Act and 109 RPC and investigation entrusted to SI Sumit Sharma. During preliminary investigation, the peddlers have been identified as Zaffar Iqbal S/O Mohd Yaqoob Pathan R/O Parthmulla Gool and Fareed Ahmed S/O Gh.Ahmed Gutt R/O Gool,District Ramban. Further investigation into the case is in process.


The arrest and recovery has been made under the close supervision of SDPO Gool Sh.Mohd Rafi Giri , Addl SP Ramban Sh Sanjay Parihar and overall supervision of SSP Ramban Ms Anita Sharma.
