IGP Jammu reviews security arrangements for Shri Amar Nath Ji Yatra- 2019

Jammu, June 8th: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Jammu Zone Shri M.K. Sinha –IPS today reviewed the arrangements for forthcoming Shri Amarnath yatra-2019 at ZPHQ Jammu this evening. Officers connected with the Yatra and headquartered outside Jammu joined through video conference

The meeting was attended by IGP CRPF, DIG CRPF, DIsG DKR /JSK Range, SSsP Jammu, Samba, Kathua, Udhampur, Ramban, SSP Railways, SSP Security, SSP PCR, Jammu, SP Telecommunications and representative of SDRF Battalion.

During the meeting, detailed discussions were held with regard to CAPF manpower provided by PHQ for SANJY-2019 and their further distribution were finalized as per ground requirement in 05 Districts of Jammu province and PCR, Jammu for smooth conduct of the Yatra. Deployment to meet any contingencies in the other districts of Jammu Zone was also finalized and CAPF have been allocated to all district including Doda/Kishtwar/Rajouri/Poonch and Reasi. The districts SSsP were directed to ensure optimum use of the resources available with them for the purpose. Strong QRTs and ROPs , besides foolproof deployment at all places where yatries would gather like Reception Centres, Langers, Assistant Booths would be ensured.

Administrative issues put forth by the IGP CRPF/DIG CRPF were discussed and they were assured that same will be addressed. Special arrangements were made for districts Ramban and Udhampur to cater for the bad condition of National Highways-44.
