June 14: Police in Sopore seized illicit timber and arrested an accused person involved in the crime.

A police party of Police Station Dangiwacha during intervening night of 13th and 14th June laid a check point in their jurisdiction. Officers at the check point have seized illicit timber and arrested a timber smuggler on the spot. Identified as Naseer Ahmad Khan son of Aashiq Khan resident of Ladi Aagan Rafiabad has been taken to Police Station Dangiwacha where he remains in custody.

Necessary legal proceedings have been initiated in the instant matter.
