Srinagar,19: On 18.06 2019,a routine naka was laid by SHO Police Station Soura Shri Syed Waseem Jahangir under the supervision of SDPO Hazratbal Shri Rameez Rashid Bhat at main chowk soura Srinagar.During naka checking an individual carrying a bag was observed moving suspiciously,when apprehended he tried to flee but was detained. He was identified as Mushtaq Ahmad Sheikh S/O Sawariya sheikh R/O katchama kralpora.During search of bag 21 bottles of wine were recovered.The accused was arrested on spot and wine bottles Seized.

In this regard, case FIR No. 48/19 U/S 48 Excise Act stands registered in Police Station Soura and investigation taken up.

This is in continuation to the efforts of Srinagar Police to fight against the meance of Drug Abuse and Drug Peddling.
