SOG Jammu recovered 130 kilogram of Poppy Straw from one Vehicle (Ashok Leyland) at Naka Mansar Morh, three interstate Narco smugglers detained, truck seized


Jammu July 2nd : Continuing its efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society, Special Operations Group of J&K Police along with sleuths of Police Samba achieved a major success by recovering huge quantity of Poppy Straw which was being illegally smuggled in a truck bearing number No. PB10 - HA6671 under the jurisdiction of Police Station Samba of district Samba this evening.

The accused who were smuggling the contraband drugs in the truck have been identified as Amritpal Singh Sandher(owner of the vehicle S/O Sajjan Singh, R/O Ward No. 9, Samrala, Ludhiana, Punjab – 141114 ,Gurpreet Singh (driver of the vehicle ) S/O Darshan Singh R/O Sarala, Ludhiana, Punjab and Balbinder Singh (Conductor) S/O Raghbir Singh R/O Samrala, Ludhiana, Punjab .

Reports revealed that, a special naka was laid jointly be SOG Jammu and Police Party of PS Samba at Mansar Morh and checking / frisking was intensified. During the process of checking, one Vehicle (Ashok Leyland) bearing number PB10 - HA6671 was put to thorough checking. During search of the truck 130 kilograms of Poppy Straw which was concealed in bags inside the truck was recovered.

In this regard a Case NDPS Act stands registered at PS Samba
