Srinagar, August 01: In its continuous efforts against social crimes, Police Station Nowgam arrested bootlegger and recovered Illicit liquor during naka checking at New Byepass .

On 31.07.3019 during surprise naka checking at New Byepass, police party from police station Nowgam led by SHO Nowgam Shri Showket Ahmad Shah
stopped one Scooty bearing Registration number PB 10 EY-8726 & while checking 12 bottles of illegal wine were recovered.The scooterist identified as Rajvver Singh S/o Gurnam Singh R/o Payal Ludhaina Punjab .The accused was arrested and scooty seized.

In this connection case FIR No.72/19 U/s 48/50 Excise Act was registered investigation taken up .

General public has applauded this Police action.
