Udhampur Police recovered 32 grms of heroine(chitta) at housing colony Udhampur and Shiv Nagar Udhampur in which 04 accused were arrested in two different cases.

Based on a reliable information regarding smuggling of heroine (chitta), a police party of PS Udhampur led by Insp. Vijay Singh Choudhary SHO PS Udhampur under supervision of Dr. Rohit Chadgal , Dy.SP Hqrs and Sh. Rajinder Kumar Katoch Addl. SP Udhampur ĺaid naka for checking of vehicles near Rount, Udhampur. During checking, police party intercepted one person who tried to ran away from the spot.The suspected person was taken into custody and during his personel search 05 grms of chitta was recovered from narcotic smuggler namely *Azhar Ahmed S/O Mohd. Rafiq R/O Housing colony Udhampur* was arrested on spot and recovered heroine like substance was also seized.


Police party also arrested the lady from whom the above said accused persons used to purchased the narcotic substance regularly was identified as *Ashraat Begum W/O Umar Jaan R/O Housing colony Udhampur*, and from search of her house 10 grms of heroine (chitta) was also recovered.

In another case, same Police party of Police Station Udhampur led by Insp. Vijay Singh Choudhary SHO PS Udhampur under the supervision of Dr. Rohit Chadgal DySP Hqrs. Udhampur and Sh. Rajinder Kumar Katoch Addl.SP Udhampur laid a naka at Shiv Nagar, Udhampur NHW for checking of vehicles. During checking of vehicles, police party intercepted one suspected person at naka point who was on his own way from shiv nagar to devika temple road on foot. The said person was immediately nabbed by police and during his personal search 7 grms of heroine was recovered from the accused namely *Yashpal Singh @Vicky S/O Prithvipal Singh R/O Shiv Nagar, Udhampur* was arrested on spot. .


Police party also arrested the person from whom the above said accused persons used to purchased the narcotic substance regularly was identified as *Charan Singh S/O Romal Singh R/O Raghunathpura Udhampur*, and from his search 10 grms of heroine (chitta) was also recovered.

In this connection, A case FIR No. 355/2019 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act registered at Police Station Udhampur and further investigation of the case is going on.
