Giving details Sh. Rajiv Pandey, IPS SSP Udhampur Based on a reliable information regarding smuggling of poppy straw, a police patrolling party of PS Udhampur led by Insp. Vijay Singh Choudhary SHO PS Udhampur under supervision of Dr. Rohit Chadgal, Dy.SP Hqrs Udhampur. During patrolling near railway station Udhampur, police party intercepted one truck bearing registration no. PB 12F -9267. During the checking of said vehicle, 95 kg poppy straw was recovered from the said vehicles. The accused driver namely *Ravinder Singh S/O Nirmal Singh R/O Kapurthala, Punjab* was arrested on spot and recovered poppy straw was also seized.

In this connection, A case FIR No. 360/2019 U/S 8/15 NDPS Act registered at Police Station Udhampur and further investigation of the case is going on.
