DGP sanctions retirement gift 0f Rs.47.85 lakh in favour of 64 police personnel Rupees 4.86 crore sanctioned as retirement gift this year


SRINAGAR, AUGUST 01: Director General of police Shri Dilbag Singh has sanctioned retirement gift of Rupees 47.85 lakh in favour of 64 personnel of J&K Police on their retirement from the service. The gift sanctioned out of Contributory Police Welfare Fund is a welfare gesture for one gazetted officer, 48 non-gazetted officers and 15 lower subordinates of the organisation.

Retirement gift of rupees seventy five thousand each has been sanctioned in favour of 63 personnel who have retired in the month of June and July this year and rupees sixty thousand has been sanctioned for one personnel who retired from service voluntarily in the month of April 2019 i.e before the implementation of 14th Central Police Welfare Committee meeting decision under which the retirement gift was enhanced from rupees sixty thousand to rupees seventy five thousand per head.

Police Headquarters has sanctioned over rupees 4.86 crore as retirement gift in favour of 774 personnel during the seven months of this year. The gift is sanctioned for all police personnel at the time of their retirement as a token of recognition of their service in the department.
