November 27: Acting tough against social crimes, Srinagar police raided a gambling site and arrested gamblers.

06 persons were arrested following a credible input about gambling offences in Sonwar area of Ram Munshi Bagh.

Officers from the local police unit while making the arrests have seized stake money ₹ 1,57,240 from the gamblers. 06 mobile phones have also been seized.

A case FIR No. 91/2019 under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station R. M. Bagh and investigation has been initiated.

Persons found indulging in criminal activities shall be dealt as per law. Community members are requested to share information regarding the crimes in their neighbourhood to the local police units.
