Ramban, December 02: RAMBAN Police continuing its war against drugs under the supervision of SSP Ramban Anita Sharma, Banihal Police achieved a major success when an interstate Drug Peddler was arrested and 1000 KG bhukki was recovered at Gund Tethar Banihal and interstate Drug smuggler was arrested.



Acting on a specific information, a special naka was laid at Gund Tethar, Banihal and one truck tralla bearing registration No HR45A/4346 was stopped and put to thorough search. During search 1000 Kg of poppy straw like substance was recovered. On questioning the driver was identified as Nirmal Singh S/O Thel Singh R/ O Munna Ludhiana, Punjab, accordingly case FIR No 147/19 U/S 8/15 NDPS Act. was registered at Police Station Banihal.



The arrest was effected by Insp. Abid Bukhari, SHO PS Banihal, SI Waseem Mehraj I/C PP JT and his team under the close supervision of SDPO Banihal Shri Sajjad Sarwar and Adl. SP Ramban Shri Sanjay Parihar . Further investigation is going on.
