Samba, 2nd December 2019:
District Police Samba has arrested a truck driver at naka Balole Bridge, Bari Brahmana in the jurisdiction of P/S Bari Brahmana and recovered a country made pistol from his possession.
A Police Party of P/S Bari Brahmana headed by SHO P/S Bari Brahmana, Inspr. Rajesh Jasrotia under the supervision of SDPO Bari Brahmana, Sh. Sunil Kesar while performing vehicle checking duty at naka Balole Bridge, Bari Brahmana intercepted a truck bearing Regd. No. HP72A-0206 which was moving toward Srinagar. During frisking of the said truck driver, a country made pistol was recovered from his possession.
The accused truck driver identified as Parveen Singh S/o Gandharv Singh R/O Daber Kotha, Nowshera, Rajouri has been arrested on the spot and weapon was also seized.
In this regard a case FIR No. 208/2019 U/S 3/25 Arms Act has been registered at P/S Bari Brahmana and investigation started.
