Jammu, December 04: The attestation cum passing out parade of 15th BRTC batch of Constables was held today at Subsidiary Training Centre, Sheeri. Hon'ble Lieutenant Governor Shri Girish Chandra Murmu was the chief guest on this occasion who inspected the parade and took the salute. The chief guest was received by Director General of Police Shri Dilbag Singh.

949 Recruit Constables most of whom, 899 have been selected through Transparent Recruitment Process (TRP) passed out after completion of their basic training.

Among others Financial Commissioner Health & Medical Education Shri Atul Duloo, ADGP CID Shri B Srinivas, ADGP Armed Shri SJM Geelani, IGP Armed Kashmir Shri Vijay Kumar, IGP Kashmir Shri S P Pani, DIG NKR Shri Mohammad Suleman Choudhary, DIG BSF, DIG CRPF, SSP Baramulla Shri Abdul Qayoom, Commandants of Kashmir based Armed/IRP Battalions, Principals of Kashmir based training centers, top civil, army, paramilitary and police officers attended the passing out parade.

Speaking on the occasion, Hon'ble Lt Governor Shri Girish Chandra Murmu congratulated the passing out constables and their families for joining the big family of Police Parivar. He also congratulated the Principal, instructors and the staff of the STC Sheeri. He said that this is my third visit to the training centers of Jammu and Kashmir Police and I am happy to witness the grand passing out parades of energetic youth. The Lt. Governor said that it is hearting to see the highly educated and technical profiles of these pass outs and hoped that they will serve the people in a better way. He said that Jammu and Kashmir Police has played an important role in maintaining peace and order in Jammu and Kashmir and added that the oath taken by the pass outs jawans today to work without any discrimination and fear in the service of people will definitely help in the progress and development of Jammu and Kashmir.

In his address, DGP Shri Dilbag Singh thanked the Hon'ble Lt. Governor Shri Girish Chandra Murmu for gracing the passing out cum ceremony. The fact that gracing the three passing out parades in just one month highlights affection of Hon'ble Lt. Governor Shri Girish Chandra Murmu towards the J&K Police force, DGP said. The DGP welcomed the pass outs and their families in the huge Police Parivar and said that by the joining of these personnel in the organization hundreds of families get associated with the force.
