December 10: Under the Supervision of SSP Ramban Mrs Anita Sharma continuing its drive against the drugs peddlers, Ramban Police arrested a drug peddler at a checking point and recovered contraband substance from this possession.

SHO Police Station Banihal Abid Bukhari and the men under its commander under the supervision of SDPO Banihal, Sajjad Sarwar intercepted a truck bearing registration number PB 23J0997 near Chakori Nallah Banihal. 200 Kgs of contraband substance Poppy straw were recovered. The accused identified as Daljinder Singh son of Surjan Singh resident of Nanowal Mand Sheedbhagat Singh Nager Punjab has been arrested and the Truck has been seized.

Case under relevant sections of law has been registered & investigation has been initiated.

Community members are requested to come forward with any information regarding drug peddlers in their neighbourhood. Persons found indulging in drug peddling will be dealt as per law.
