February 13: Continuing its intensified fight against drug menace, Banihal police under the supervision of SSP Ramban Haseeb-ur- Rehman apprehended three drug peddlers and recovered huge quantity of Charas and Bukki from their possession in the Banihal area of Ramban District.



Following a special information a police team headed by SHO Police Station Banihal Abid Bukhari under the supervision of SDPO Banihal Sajad Sarwar intercepted a Punjab bound truck bearing registration number RJ07GB-9598- driven by Angrez Singh son of Shunder Singh a resident of Suroopsingh Mandi Tehsil Gorusai Distt Ferozpur T. chowk NHW Banihal. On checking of the truck 90 Kgs poppy straws were recovered.



The team during another action apprehended Muzafar Ahmed Gujjar son of Nazir Ahmed Gujjar a resident of Guthtal Doligam. Tehsil Banihal who was coming from Railway Station link road Banihal side towards Banihal town with 90 grms of Charas.
