*March 12:* ```Continuing its drive against drug dealings in Awantipora, Police have arrested a notorious drug peddler from Reshipora area of Awantipora and recovered contraband substance from his possession.

He has been identified as Mohmmad Shaban Dar resident of Brabandina. Officers were able to recover 300gms Charas from his possession. The arrested drug peddler is involved in selling of narcotic drugs in the areas of Awantipora.

Case FIR No. 29/2020 under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Awantipora.

Community members are requested to come forward with any information regarding drug peddlers in their neighbourhood. Persons found indulging in drug peddling will be dealt as per law.

Our consistent actions against drug peddlers should reassure the community members that we are making efforts to keep our society free from the scourge of drug menace as reiterated in our community meetings.```
