April 01:```Acting tough against social crimes, Srinagar Police have arrested three gamblers from a gambling site.

A police party from Police Station Shaheed Gunj raided a gambling site following an input about gambling activities at Karfali Mohalla Habakadal of District Srinagar. Three persons were arrested by police and were identified as Saleem Jan Bhat resident of Shalla Kadal, Aqib Zahoor Bhat resident of Sona Masjid Fateh Kadal and Ferooz Ahmad Laway resident of Zainakadal Srinagar.

They have been shifted to Police Station where they remain in custody.

Officers have seized playing cards and stake money of ₹2202 from the gambling site.

Case FIR No.22/2020 under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Shaheed Gunj and further investigation into the matter has been initiated.

Persons found indulging in criminal activities shall be dealt as per law. Community members are requested to share information regarding the crimes in their neighbourhood with the local police units.```
