*April 07:* ```Police in its recent actions against drug dealings in Ganderbal, police have arrested a drug peddler and recovered psychotropic substance from his possession.

Officers at a checkpoint established at Treesa Saffapora Crossing apprehended a person identified as Mohd Yasin Bhat resident of Kambay Mohalla, Wakura Ganderbal. Officers during checking were able to recover 20 bottles of codeine phosphate. He has been arrested and shifted to Police Station Safapora where he remains in custody.

Case FIR No. 14/2020 under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Safapora and further investigation has been initiated.

Community members are requested to come forward with any information regarding drug peddlers in their neighbourhood. Persons found indulging in drug peddling will be dealt as per law.```
