*May 04:* ```Continuing its drive against drug dealings in Sopore, Police have arrested two notorious drug peddlers and recovered contraband substance from their possession.


Officers at a checkpoint established at Gundbal Panzla intercepted two individuals identified as Tariq Ahmad Khan resident of Kamad and Mohd Anwar Khan resident of Ladiangan.


During checking, officers were able to recover 1.5 kg of Charas from their possession. They have been arrested and shifted to Police Station Panzla where they remain in custody.


Case FIR No. 40/2020 under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Panzla and further investigation has been initiated.


Community members are requested to come forward with any information regarding drug peddlers in their neighbourhood. Persons found indulging in drug peddling will be dealt as per law.```
