May 28:``Acting on a credible input regarding movement of terrorists with an explosive laden vehicle in Rajpora area of Pulwama, joint MVCPs were placed at various places to intercept the suspected vehicle.

One of the joint teams in the area noticed the suspected vehicle and challenged it to stop. However, the vehicle fled from the spot towards village Avengund. Subsequently, Pulwama police alongwith Army and CRPF launched search operations in Rajpora and adjoining villages.

During the search, the suspected vehicle Santro with fake registration number laden with IED was found in village Avengund. The IED was later detonated by Bomb Disposal Squad by considering the precarious nature of device.

Police has registered a case FIR No. 40/2020 under relevant provisions of law in Police Station Rajpora and investigation has been initiated.```
