May 31:Police in Srinagar have arrested 03 gamblers from Nowshera area of Soura and recovered stake money of more than ₹17000 from the gamblers.

A police party from Police Station Soura raided a gambling site at Nowshera following an input about gambling activities and apprehended three gamblers for gambling offences. They have been shifted to Police Station Soura where they remain in custody.

Officers have also seized playing cards and stake amount of ₹17,640/- from the gamblers.

Case FIR No. 13/2020 under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Soura.

Persons found indulging in criminal activities shall be dealt as per law. Community members are requested to share information regarding the crimes in their neighbourhood with the local police units.```
