June 14:Continuing its drive against social crimes, Srinagar Police have arrested 07 persons from a gambling site and seized stake money.

A police party from Police Post Channapora raided a gambling site at Mustafabad Rambagh following an input about gambling activities and arrested 07 gamblers for gambling offences.

Officers have seized playing cards and stake money of ₹18200/ from the gamblers. They have been shifted to Police Station where they remain in custody.

Accordingly, a case FIR No.154/2020 under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Sadder and investigation has been initiated.

Persons found indulging in criminal activities shall be dealt as per law. Community members are requested to share information regarding the crimes in their neighbourhood with the local police units.```
