Jammu, 15 June: A 14-minute documentary JKP-The Warriors by AVD Motion Pictures was released by the Director General of Police J&K Shri Dilbag Singh at Police Headquarters Conference Hall here today.

Swain, Shri Arun Kumar Choudahary, Shri Deepak Kumar, Shri S J M Gillani, Shri A G Mir, IGsP Dr S D Singh Jamwal, Shri T Namgyal, Shri Shri Mukesh Singh, Shri M K Sinha, Shri Danesh Rana, Shri Garib Dass, Shri Alok Kumar, AIG Welfare/Comm PHQ Shri Manoj Pandith and PPS to DGP Shri Sham Lal were present on the occasion.


Speaking on the occasion, the DGP thanked and appreciated the efforts of the director of the documentary Shri Atul Vinod Duggal for projecting the initiatives taken by the J&K Police in containing the spread of the COVID-19. He also appreciated the efforts of IGP Jammu Shri Mukesh Singh for taking keen interest in coordinating and providing assistance to the filmmaker. He said that the content shown in the documentary have  been shot in Jammu as well as  Kashmir and JKP as a warrior will definitely be appreciated by people.


The DGP said the Virus is still posing a threat to humans. He said that COVID-19 has not affected the efficiency and work of J&K Police, and complimented all Police wings officers and jawans for facing the challenge bravely and efficiently. “I hope the J&K Police will continue the good work and remain conscious to take all the precautions in dealing with the present situation” he said. 


The Documentary by Shri Atul Vinod Duggal depicts the efforts of Jammu and Kashmir Police which is fighting on different fronts since three decades and how the brave Police personnel of the force have faced every challenge thrust upon them with enthusiasm & devotion and are now fighting COVID-19.


The documentary shows the various initiatives which were taken by J&K Police which include awareness among the people, implementing restrictions on the unnecessary movement, establishing helpline numbers, helping the people in need, providing food and medicine to the needy and helping the stranded people.


The Documentary is directed by Shri Atul Vinod Duggal, written by Shri Pritam Katoch, Director of Photography Shri Sanjay Kapoor and edited by Atul Vinod Duggal & Anil Angral.
