BUDGAM 15 August:Independence day 2020 has been celebrated in district Budgam with great zeal and fervor at Aga Syed Mehdi Memorial Sports Stadium, Budgam.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Budgam Shri Shabaaz Mirza-KAS as Chief Guest unfurled the national flag, took salute and inspected the Parade.

Superintendent of Police Shri Amod Ashok Nagpure-IPS, Commandant 53RR Shri Vinod Kartik, Deputy Commandant 53RR Shri Ravinder Singh DySP Headquaters Shri Fayaz Hussain Shah JKPS, DySP DAR Shri Ruhail Mircha JKPS, DYsP PC, Budgam Shri Ayaz Mansoor, besides other senior officers of civil administration/Police,CAPF were present on the occasion.

The March-Past Commanded by Inspector Yasir Arafat from IRP 20Bn. B-Coy comprised on Contingents of JKP,JKAP,IRP 20 COY, IRP 21 COY and JKHG.
Also,different colorful cultural programs were presented by different groups of people on the occasion.

Later on, Awards have been given to those who performed extraordinary service during fighting with Covid19.

A large number of people witnessed in the function as elaborated security arrangements have been made by the District Police Budgam.
