Meritorious Scholarship Sanctioned for Wards of Serving Police Personnel Rs.44 lakh Meritorious Scholarship sanctioned during this year


SRINAGAR, SEPTEMBER 09: With an aim to boost the morale of wards of martyrs, retired and serving Police personnel, Police Headquarters J&K sanctions meritorious scholarships under different welfare schemes, scholarships are sanctioned in favour of deserving meritorious wards in various categories.

Continuing with this effort to promote the meritorious wards of Police personnel, the Director General of Police Shri Dilbag Singh has sanctioned rupees 8.66 lakh scholarship in favour of one hundred thirty four wards of serving police personnel who have secured 80% and above marks in the Annual examination of Class 12th during the Academic Session 2019-20 out of Central Police Welfare Fund.

Rupees 7200/- each has been sanctioned in favour of eighty-two students who have secured more than 90% marks while fifty-two students who have secured 80% and above marks has been given rupees 6000/- each.

During the current year till date over rupees 44 lakh have been sanctioned in favour of 816 wards of serving Police personnel who have achieved merit in the annual examination of class 10th, 12th and post graduate for the session 2019-20.
