*September 20:* ```In order to inculcate & promote sports spirit among the youth and build healthy Police-Public relations besides, taking forward youth friendly policing initiative, Awantipora police have inaugurated the ceremony of "Habba Khatoon Football Tournament" at Chandhara Pampore.

The inaugural ceremony was attended by SSP Awantipora Shri Tahir Saleem-JKPS. He was accompanied by SDPO Pampore and SHO Pampore.

27 teams from district Pulwama and some other teams from the districts of Srinagar, Awantipora, Budgam are participating in the tournament.

Addressing the participants, SSP Awantipora said that such type of events will provide a platform to youth to explore their hidden talent and keep them physically fit. He added that sports activities help the youth to channelize their energy in a positive way. He also assured the participants that every kind of assistance will be provided by District Police Awantipora to boost the sports activities.

Locals of the area have appreciated the efforts of Awantipora Police. They expressed their desire that such events should be organized in future as well so that talent of the youth is encouraged.```
