October 15:Closing ceremony of Athletic meet for specially-abled persons was held at Govt. Boys Hr. Sec School Kupwara. The event was organised by Kupwara Police under civic action programme.

DIG NKR Baramulla Shri Sulieman Choudhary-IPS, DDC Kupwara Shri Anshul Garg- IAS were the chief guests on the occasion besides, ASP Kupwara, DySP Hqrs Kupwara, DySP PC Lolab and DySP (DAR) DPL Kupwara were also present on the occasion.

The tournament was commenced yesterday and continued for 02 consecutive days. 80 teams from various sports fields participated in different games like cricket, race, throw ball, tug of war tournament etc in the tournament.

DIG NKR in his address applauded Kupwara Police for organising such events in the District. He also expressed that J&K Police is committed to provide platform for sports activities for the youth and such activities shall be organised in future in the district.

Later, DIG NKR and DDC Kupwara presented trophies, certificates, cricket kit, badminton kit among the winners.```
