*October 16:* ```A series of attacks took place from 14th August 2020 till 5th October 2020 within the jurisdiction of Police Station Nowgam and Chadoora which include attack on Police and SSB party at Gulshan Nagar Nowgam in which two personnel of JKP attained martyrdom & another was injured and 01 INSAS rifle was also snatched by the terrorists, attack on CRPF party of 117Bn at Kaisarmullah Chadoora in which one CRPF personnel attained martyrdom and his weapon was also snatched, attack on ROP party of CRPF 110Bn near Taingan New Bypass in which 2 CRPF personnel attained martyrdom and 4 others were injured and attack on ROP party of 110Bn CRPF on New Bypass.

In order to solve these terror crime cases and to bring its perpetrators to justice different investigating teams under the supervision of DIG CKR and SSP Srinagar were constituted.

The investigating teams so constituted used technical as well as human intelligence and were able to identify some suspects involved in these attacks. Subsequently, the teams launched a series of raids in Chadoora Budgam, Nowgam & other areas of Srinagar and picked up around a dozen suspects for questioning.

These teams were able to arrest six terrorist associates who had provided shelter, transportation and also conducted recee of the security force deployments where the above mentioned attacks were later on carried out by the terrorists.

Petinently, location of the house was also ascertained, where the terrorists involved in these terror crime attacks were hiding at Barzulla.

The teams were also able to seize 06 different vehicles used to carry out these terror crime attacks.

IGP Kashmir Shri Vijay Kumar has congratulated the investigating teams especially DIG CKR and SSP Srinagar for their success in busting this terrorist associate network and averting further terror attacks by this module. He has also appealed general public not to provide their vehicles and accommodation to unknown persons/ suspects```
