*October 20:* ```To develop the spirit of sports among the children, Ganderbal Police organized one day badminton tournament under civic action programme in District Ganderbal.

The tournament was inaugurated by SSP Ganderbal Shri Khalil Poswal at Indoor Stadium Sehpora, Ganderbal. Besides other senior officers and officials of Ganderbal Police were present on the occasion.

The tournament was played on knockout basis. 8 teams comprising of 16 players participated in the tournament. Bilal and Muneeb of team Shallabugh fighters won the tournament.

Speaking on the occasion, SSP Ganderbal said that these events are being organized to channelize the talent of youth toward the positive direction. He further said that J&K police is providing a platform to the youth of JK to harness their capabilities in the field of sports and explore their talent.

Later SSP Ganderbal distributed cash price of rupees 5000 with a trophy to the winning team and 3000 with a trophy to the runner up team. Trophies and medals were also distributed to the referees and among the participants.```
