October 24:``As a part of Police Sports Festival, Final match of Police martyrs Memorial Volleyball tournament was played at Khrew Awantipora and two matches of Martyr Altaf Memorial T-20 Police Premier Cricket League were played at Qamaria Stadium Ganderbal. Besides in Sopore, seven matches of Volleyball, Football and Cricket were played at Khushaal Stadium Tulibal and MET ground Sopore.

At Khrew Awantipora, Police Martyrs’ Memorial Volleyball tournament concludes today and final match of volleyball was played between Sheikh Sportans and Cyber Stream in which Cyber Stream emerged as winner's team.

On the occasion, SSP Awantipora, SDPO Pampore, SHO Pampore and SHO Khrew along with Auqaf Chairman Khrew Mohd Akram and other respectable citizens and youth of the Khrew area witnessed the closing ceremony.

SSP Awantipora felicitated captains of winner team and runner up teams namely Sajad Ahmad Teli & Sameer Ahmad Sheikh with trophies, cash prizes, sports uniforms and volleyballs. Commentator Irshad Ahmad Sheikh was also felicitated with trophies and cash prizes.

SSP Awantipora while speaking on the occasion congratulated the winners/runners up team. He said that these sports activities are organized by J&K Police to give boost and channelize youth energy in positive manner. He further stated that more sports events shall be organized by Police in different areas of Awantipora.

Meanwhile, in Ganderbal two matches were played on the 17th day of Martyr Altaf Memorial T-20 Cricket league at Qamaria Stadium Ganderbal. These matches were played between BDCC Khalmulla V/S Wonder Boys Hamdania Lar and Brave Hearts Wakura V/S MCC Safapora.

First match was played between BDCC Khalmulla VS Wonder Boys Hamdania Lar which was won by BDCC Khalmulla by 24 runs. Aamir of BDCC was declared Man of the Match for scoring 38 runs and taking 2 wickets. The second match was played between Brave Hearts Wakura V/S MCC Safapora which was won by Brave Hearts Wakura by 40 runs. Suhail Bhat and Aaqib were declared Men of the match for scoring 52 runs and taking 3/16 runs respectively.

Similarly, in Sopore, 03 matches of Volleyball, 02 matches of Football and 02 matches of Cricket were played at Khushaal Stadium Tulibal and MET ground Sopore.

Volleyball matches were played between Zaingeer Juniors v/s Army Goodwill School, Ferozpora Volleyball Club v/s Hib Dangerpora Volleyball Club and Nowpora Volleyball Club v/s Tragpora Volleyball Club which were won by Zaingeer Juniors, Hib Dangerpora Volleyball Club and Nowpora Volleyball Club respectively.

Football matches were played between Winners FC Sopore v/s Nowpora FC, which was won by Winners FC Sopore by 6:1 and Doabgah Football Club v/s Jamia Sports Hadipora which won by Doabgah Football Club.

Cricket matches were played between Hamdan Cricket Club v/s United CC Tragpora, which was won by UCC Tragpora by 25 runs, and Ladoora Cricket Club v/s Chatloora A, which was won by Ladoora Cricket Club by 9 runs.```
