*October 25:* ```Police in Ganderbal organised a "Run for Peace" event under civic action programme for children below the age of 20 years in the memory of Police Martyrs.

Participants from different areas of the District Ganderbal took part in the event. The participants were flagged off by DySP HQRS Ganderbal Dr Abdul Majid-JKPS. The "Run for Peace" event started at 07:45 AM from Manigam crossing to Baroosa along NHW.

SSP Ganderbal distributed cash prizes among the first three winners viz; 1st-Gulbadeen, 2nd-Umar Hameed and 3rd- Umar Farooq.

At the conclusion, SSP Ganderbal Shri Khalil Ahmad Poswal-JKPS addressed the participants that these sports events are being organized by Police to bring positive energy, sports spirit and good health among the youth as well as to make friendly bond with young generation. He also said that J&K Police has taken an initiative to dedicate various sports and other events in the commemoration of Police Martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the nation and they are the real heroes of the Nation.

He also thanked the participants and all others for joining the event for making it successful. DySP Traffic Ganderbal Shri Faheem was also present on the occasion.```
