February 19:Police in Bandipora have arrested two terrorist associates linked with proscribed terror outfit LeT and recovered incriminating materials from their possession.

Acting on specific inputs, Bandipora police along with 14RR and CRPF established a joint checkpoint near Papachan Bandipora Bridge and apprehended 02 terrorist associates linked with proscribed terrorist outfit LeT. They have been identified as Abid Waza son of Abdul Gani Waza resident of Bandipora and Bashir Ahmad Gojer son of Mohd Abdulla Gojer resident of Malangam Bandipora.

As per police records, they were involved in providing shelter, logistic and other support to the active terrorists in the area. Besides, they were tasked by their handlers to carry grenade attack on security forces in Bandipora.

Incriminating materials including 02 live Hand grenades have been recovered from their possession. All the recovered materials have been taken into case records for further investigation.

In this connection, a case under relevant section of law stands registered in Police Station Bandipora. Further investigation is in progress.```
