May 03:`Police in Bandipora have arrested two timber smugglers and seized illicit timber.

Acting on specific information about timber smuggling in village Aloosa, a police party of Police Post Aloosa under the supervision of DySP Hqrs Bandipora raided the spot and recovered 40CFTS of illicit timber which was dumped by smugglers. The police party also arrested two accused persons identified as Abdul Rahim Ganie and Abdul Rahim Wani both residents of Aloosa, involved in smuggling of illicit timber.

Accordingly case FIR number 61/2021 under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Bandipora and investigation into the matter has been initiated.
