120 Gms of Charas recovered by team of Police station Nagrota, Jammu. One accused peddler arrested*


Jammu: In continuation to the drive against drug addiction and substance abuse several nakas were established at different locations in Jammu district.

At one such naka which was laid by police team of PS Nagrota whereby they rounded up a suspect who tried to hide himself on being signalled to stop for checking, later identified as Noor Ahmed S/o Saif Ali R/o Behra Jagti. On search, 120 Gms of charas was recovered from his illegal possession.

On this, Case FIR No. 282/2021 U/S 8/20 NDPS Act got registered at P/S Nagrota and accused got arrested.The arrest and recovery was made by SHO PS Nagrota Inspr.Mohd Showkat under the supervision of SDPO Nagrota Sh. Parupkar Singh.

Further investigation of the case is going on.

02. *Valuable goods worth Rs. 30,000 recovered by PP Parade Jammu. One accused arrested*

Jammu: A complaint was lodged in PP Parade by one person namely Abdul Karim S/o Gaghu Din R/o Malik Market stating that his two big parcels of goods( readymade garments) have been taken away by an unknown person in an auto bearing Registration No JK02BC 4790.

In this regard, case FIR No 105/2021 u/s 407 IPC got registered at PS Pacca Danga and investigation started.

After this special police teams of PP Parade under the supervision of SDPO City North Sh. Sharad Kalu were constituted. The team led by I/C SHO PS Pacca Danga SI. Ranjeet Singh assisted by I/C PP Parade SI Lalit Sharma after using the technical aid and with the help of analysis of various CCTV footages of the area finally rounded up the suspected auto driver namely Umesh sawhney S/o Sunil kumar R/o Gura Bakshi Nagar. During sustained questioning accused confessed his involvement in the above case and on his disclosure all the goods worth Rs. 30,000 were also recovered from his possession.

Further investigation of the case is going on.

03. *4 Gamblers arrested, cash Rs 12,500 recovered by Police post Pounichak Jammu*

Jammu: In an act of alertness and prompt action, police party of Police Station Domana headed by SHO P/S Domana Inspr. Mahesh Sharma assisted by I/C PP Pounichak SI Dilawar Kumar during patrolling duty in Bhadrore area received an information about the gamblers being there in an open field. On this, police team reached on the spot and found four gamblers along with Rs. 12,500/- stake money and one deck of playing cards.

In this regard cognizance U/S 13 Gambling Act was taken and accused have been arrested.

The accused arrested have been identified as:
01. Bahdur lal S/o Garu Ram R/o Sanghe Chak Gajansoo
02. Vijay kumar S/o Sansar Chand R/o Saharan Marh
03. Rashpal S/o Sain Dass R/o Dei Chak
04. Shyam lal S/o Munshi Ram
R/O Ghou Manhsan

The overall arrest and recoveries were made under the supervision of SDPO Domana Sh. Kousheen Koul. Further investigation of the case is going on.
