Jammu, June 20: One Pistol, 2 live rounds, 4 sharp edged weapons and 30 gms of heroin recovered by Police station RS Pura Jammu. Six notorious criminals arrested*

Six notorious criminals, who were evading arrests in many FIRs and one among them having PSA warrant pending for execution, arrested by Jammu Police in RS Pura.

An information was received in PS RS Pura that few criminals were planning to attack some persons. On this special police teams of PS RS Pura under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Sh. Shabir Khan were constituted. The team led by SHO P/S Jai Pal Sharma after hectic efforts and with the help of CCTV footages of the area finally got a lead and they nabbed two suspected persons namely Sandeep Kumar @ Shotu S/O Tarsem Lal R/O RS Pura and Aijaz Ahmed S/O Javed Ahmed R/O Bantalab. During search, 30 gms of Heroin like substance was recovered from them.

In this regard a case FIR no 124/21 US 8/21/22/29 NDPS Act was registered at Police station RS Pura and further investigation was set into motion. During sustained questioning, the above mentioned accused confessed their involvement in the above case and they revealed names of other persons also. On this police finally arrested the other four accused namely Sunil Kumar @ Gokul S/O Tarsem Lal, Anil Kumar @ Nandi S/O Balwant Raj ,Balbinder Kumar @Sooraj @ Giri S/O Jeet Raj and Davinder Kumar @ Rahul S/O Darshan Lal all residents of RS Pura. During search one Pistol, 2 live rounds and 4 sharp edged weapons were recovered.

Subsequently, case FIR No 125/21 U/S 3/25,4/25 AAct was also registered at Police station RS Pura.

It is pertinent to mention that both Sandeep and Aijaz were earlier also arrested in Narcotics trade in different Police stations of Jammu. Also, Gokul was already involved in 8 different FIRs and his PSA dozier warrant was also issued by DM Jammu for his criminal activities and disturbing the public order and he was also evading arrest. Sooraj and Nandi were also evading arrest in 2 FIRs in Police station RS Pura.

Further investigation of the case is going on.

02. **22.5 Kgs of poppy straw recovered by team of Police Station, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu. One accused peddler arrested.*

Jammu: Based on the specific inputs regarding drug peddling, several nakas were laid at different locations by Jammu Police. On one such naka led by SHO P/S Gandhi Nagar Inspr. Bharat Sharma, police teams of PS Gandhi Nagar rounded up a suspect namely Mohd Rafiq S/O Ghulam Mohd R/O Bhudan Reasi. On search, 22.5 Kgs of poppy straw was recovered from his illegal possession.

•On this, case FIR No. 192/2021 U/S 8/15/29 NDPS Act got registered at P/S Gandhi Nagar and the accused got arrested. The overall arrest and recovery was made under the supervision of SDPO South Sh. P K Mengi.

•Further investigation of the case is going on.

03. *Two accused arrested under POCSO Act by PS Bagh e Bahu, Jammu.*

Jammu: On 18-06-2021, a written complaint was lodged by the father of a minor girl that some unknown persons have committed rape on her daughter.

On this case FIR No. 53/2021 U/S 376 D/354 b/363/109/IPC 5/6 POCSO Act got registered at PS Bagh e Bahu and investigation was started.

After this special teams of P/S Bagh e Bahu under the supervision of SDPO East Sh. Bikram Kumar were constituted. The team led by SHO P/S Bagh e Bahu Inspr. Kirti Sharma connected the various leads, put in hectic efforts and with the support of technical assistance and CCTV footages of the areas finally arrested two accused persons namely
1.) Manzoor Hussain S/o Alam Din 2.) Aasif S/o Jamat Ali both R/o Narwal Bala, Jammu.

04. *200 litres of lahan recovered and destroyed by P/S Bishnah, Jammu.*

Jammu: Continuing it's drive against the menace of illicit liquor, police team of P/S Bishnah has destroyed 200 litres of lahan.

An input was received through reliable sources at PS Bishnah regarding making of illicit liquor in Bishnah area. Acting swiftly on this police teams of PS Bishnah formed under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Sh. Shabir Khan and led by SHO P/S Bishnah Inspr. Joginder Singh reached on the spot at Shahpur, Rehaal, Chorli near Karel Nallah area and recovered and destroyed 200 litres of lahan.
