May 11: Police have arrested a woman thief in Srinagar and recovered stolen golden bangle from her possession.

On 06/05/2022, Police Station Shergarhi received a complaint from a lady resident of Wathoora Chadoora Budgam stating there in that a gold bangle, she was wearing had been stolen probably by a woman near Bakshi Stadium while on way to Srinagar.

Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 45/2022 under relevant sections of law was registered and investigation was initiated.

During investigation, officers using all available means and by putting all possible efforts were able to arrest the accused lady. During questioning she admitted that she had stolen the gold bangle. On her disclosure the stolen bangle was recovered from Chadoora area of Budgam.

Further investigation is in progress.
