Srinagar, May 23: Seven non local thieves including a lady have been arrested from Sheergari Haft Chinar and Parimpora areas of Srinagar, who were involved in case FIR No. 4/2022 U/S 379,427,411, 109-IPC, 104, 153,174 Railway Act of GRPS Srinagar.

The case is related to the theft of OHE Copper wire on the railway track at kilometer 56.7 committed during the intervening night of on 30/31 March, 2022. These accused have been identified as Muhammad Iqbal Sheikh S/O Nane Gaziri Sheikh R/O Kalabagan Koltata at present haft Chinar Shergari Srinagar. Shair Ali Malla S/O Himayat Mula R/O Madan Pora Khader New Delhi A/P Haft Chinar Shergari Srinagar.
Muhammad Sahil Sheikh S/O Saib Ali R/O Nairilah Ali Pora west New Delhi atA/P HMT Srinagar. Muhammad Haroon Sarah S/O Muhammad Suhail R/O Looni New Delhi A/P HMT Srinagar. Muhammad Suhag S/O Muhammad Saleem R/O 24 Parkana Bengal A/P Parimpora Srinagar. Muhammad Shaheen Sheikh S/O Muhammad Nizam R/O Looni New Delhi A/P HMT Srinagar.

The stolen property viz OHE Copper wire worth Rs. 180000/-, One Auto Rickshaw bearing No. JK16/1304 and weapons of offence have also been recovered from them.

The group has been found committing the OHE Copper wire thefts in the jurisdiction of GRPS Srinagar on the track sites by resorting to consumption of drugs provided by the Lady accused Mst .Nargis Alias @ Panna W/O Abdul Rehman Sheikh A/P haft Chinar Shergari Srinagar and then using the vehicle under question and the above mentioned weapon of offences for the commission of crime. The lady herself is dealing with the scrap and is using the stolen property for means of obtaining illegally huge amount out of crime .The accused are being interrogated about their involvement in other such nature of cases registered in the GRPS Awantipora is being ascertained.

Further investigation of the case is going on.
