May 23:Police in Srinagar have busted a vehicle lifting module by arresting three person and recovered four stolen vehicles on their disclosure.

Police Station Nowgam while investigating a theft case FIR No. 57/2022, got a specific information about the vehicle lifting module and subsequently arrested the three persons involved in the gang identified as Nazir Ahmad Dar @Beta son of Mohd Amin Dar resident of Zangibagh, Mohd Younis Dar @Inna Mir son of Bashir Ahmad Dar resident of Gund Chakpora and Sheikh Adnan Hussain son of Sheikh Mohd Hussain resident of Mochua Badgam.

On their disclosure four stolen vehicles including 01 Alto 800Car, 01 Santro Car, 01 Tata mobile and 01 Alto K10 have been recovered regarding which cases vide FIR No. 05/2022, FIR No. 07/2022 and FIR No.17/2022 stands already registered in PS Nowgam.

Police once again requests all the citizens to install High Security Number Plates on their vehicles to prevent such thefts and in case if any theft happens, it is relatively easier to trace the stolen vehicle.```
