June 25:`Acting tough against illegal manufacture/processing of Beer, police along with civil authorities have sealed a factory in Khunmoh area of Srinagar.

Acting on specific information received from reliable sources that a factory registered in the name of M/S Zainab Textiles situated at Phase-2 Khunmoh is involved in illegal/unlawful activity of manufacturing/processing of Beer.

Accordingly, a Police party of PS Panthachowk under the supervision of SDPO Panthachowk alongwith officials from Excise department, Revenue department and Food department raided the suspected spot. During search, large quantity of beer bottles was recovered and was accordingly seized on spot. The machine used in the manufacturing process has also been seized.

In this regard a cased vide FIR No. 64/2022 under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Panthachowk and investigation has been initiated.```
