June 28:``Continuing its efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society, Police in Bandipora have arrested 03 drug peddlers and recovered psychotropic substance from their possession.

A Police party of PS Bandipora led by SHO PS Bandipora at a checkpoint established at Nabirpora Bandipora near Faiz Aam School arrested three drug peddlers. They have been identified as Faisal Ahmad Shah son of Gh Mohi ud Din Shah resident of Bagh Bandipore, Bilal Ahmad Shiekh son of Mohd Shafi resident of Ward-5 Bandipore and Altaf Ahmad Rather son of Ab Salam Rather resident of Marder Bandipora. During search, 288 tablets of banned drug Spasmoproxyvon Plus were recovered from their possession.

Accordingly a case vide FIR No. 111/2022 under relevant sections of law has been registered at PS Bandipora and investigation has been initiated.

Community members are requested to come forward with any information regarding drug peddlers in their neighbourhood. Persons found indulging in drug peddling will be dealt as per law.```
