Bandipora 15th August-2022: Today 76th Independence day was celebrated in district Bandipora with much zeal and enthusiasm.The main function was held at S.K Stadium Bandipora where DDC Chairman Bandipora Shri Abdul Gani Bhat accompanied by DC Bandipora Shri Owais Ahmad- IAS and SSP Bandipora Shri Mohammad Zahid-JKPS unfurled the National Flag, inspected the parade and took salute on the March Past presented by the contingents of JKP, IRP,Fire& Emergency Services, CRPF, JK Home Guards, NCC cadets and school children from various educational institutions of the district Bandipora.

The parade was commanded by parade commander DYSP Shri Bashir Ahmad-JKPS.On this occassion senior officers of Army,CAPF, district administration Bandipora ,police and officers from various other departments were present.The programme was also witnessed by school children and public in large numbers.

Addressing the gathering, DDC Chairman, congratulated the people on the eve of Republic Day and recalled the various developmental initiatives taken by the government for the welfare of common people.The march past was followed by a demonstration of stunts,performed by a team of Dare Devils of J&K police and colorful cultural programmes presented by the jawans of CRPF and students of various schools of district Bandipora.
Similar functions were also organized across the district.
