GANDERBAL, 15 AUGUST: 76th Independence Day-2022* was celebrated with great Fervour, Gaiety and Enthusiasm at *Madr-e-Meharban Qamariya Sports Stadium Ganderbal*

Officials of Police, CAPF, other Forces and Students of various Schools participated in Independence Day Parade which was presided by Parade Commander *DySP DAR Ganderbal Shri Muzaffar Jan- JKPS*

The Chief Guest DDC Chairperson *Mst. Nuzhat Ishfaq* unfurled the *National Flag* She was accompanied by *Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal Shri Shyambir-IAS* and *SSP Ganderbal Shri Nikhil Borkar-IPS* The Chief Guest inspected the parade and took the Salute on March Past presented by the Contingents of District Police Ganderbal, JKAP 14th Bn., CRPF 115/118 Bn., ITBP Adhoc 06, PTS Manigam, SPOs, Home Guard and Students of various Schools of District Ganderbal.

The other officers including ADDC Ganderbal Shri Khursheed Ahmad Shah-KAS, ADC Ganderbal Shri Farooq Ahmad Baba-KAS, Addl.SP Ganderbal Shri Feroz Yehya-JKPS, ACR Ganderbal Shri Mehraj-ud-din Shah-KAS, ACD Ganderbal Dr. Bashir Ahmad Shah, CO 24RR, DySP Hqrs Ganderbal Shri Ghulam Hassan-JKPS, representatives of CAPF and all other senior officers of Police and civil administration were present on the occasion.
Moreover, officers of Health Department, Executive Engineers of PHE, PDD, I&FC, R&B Division Ganderbal, DDCs, BDCs, Panchs and Sarpanchs of District Ganderbal and other respectable citizens of District Ganderbal were also present on the occassion.

Chief Guest *Mst. Nuzhat Ishfaq* in her address congratulated the participants for Participating and Celebrating 76th Independence Day. She stated that our freedom fighters have laid their previous lives for the freedom of our Nation. Many great personalities of our nation gave their blood for giving us Independent Nation. She also talked about Women Empowerment and paid rich tributes to the Martyrs of Police and CAPF who sacrificed their lives in the line of duties.

Multi-Dimensional Colourful Cultural programmes were presented by the Cultural Clubs and Students of various Schools of District Ganderbal.

At the end, prize Distribution and Felicitation Ceremony was held. The dignitaries present on the stage distributed Cash prizes and mementos among the students, contingents of parade and other participants. Besides prizes, appreciation certificates from administration were also given to the students and other employees for their best performances.
